When should you change your cell phone battery?
Lithium-ion batteries are wearing parts. After around 500 to 800 charging cycles (which corresponds to around 1.5 to 2 years of normal use), the capacity noticeably decreases. AtFixstore MunichWe will diagnose the condition of your battery on site free of charge. Replacement is strongly recommended if the following symptoms occur:
- Low running time:The cell phone has to be put on the charger several times a day.
- Sudden shutdown:The device suddenly switches off despite 20% or 30% remaining charge - especially in cold weather.
- Battery health below 80%:A "Service" is recommended in the iOS or Android settings.
- Swollen battery (danger level):The back or the display curves slightly upwards. Bring the device to us immediately to avoid fire or display damage!
Battery replacement process
We open the housing professionally, loosen the glued battery straps, remove the old battery without leaving any residue and insert a new, tested battery with fresh adhesive pads. Finally, we re-seal the housing.

Important battery message on iPhones
Please note: Starting with the iPhone XS, Apple displays a system message in the settings if the battery has not been replaced in an authorized Apple store. The display of the maximum battery capacity is then blocked.
